Went with a buddy Tuesday and got a limit, but took us a while. It was a clear day and the teal flew early, lots of 'em. Went back this morning, cool, cloudy, intermittent rain, some thunder occasionally, but nothing real heavy. I figure this is gonna be a good morning, that the teal will keep flying a while longer. Well, the teal weren't flying at all! A few came in of course, but we only got 3 birds. I got started a bit slow, missed a few at first. Bummer. Late in the season and there are hundreds of birds on water here and there that isn't hunted we can see from the road. I guess they're just holing up where they ain't gettin' shot at.

Oh, well, it was still fun. :D

Part of the problem may be the weather. It was 40 degrees up here just outside ****cago. Went goose hunting this morning foggy got 3. If my cousin could have shot better we would have gotten our 4 goose limit. Duck is closed up here so of course we saw a couple hundred geenheads and a bunch of bluebills and buffelheads. I would venture a guess and say they have not had a reason to move all the way down yet. A friend of mine is So Il says they are still seeing teal and woodies down there.
