I have a Theis horsehide IWB holster for an LC9, problem is I sold the LC9 back to my buddy. I have my eye on a Kahr CW9 and was wondering if the dimensions are close enough to use the Theis IWB?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Kydex is molded to the exact dimensions of a certain gun so no. That is why I buy Old Faithful hybrids. I had a Glock 27 and a holster that fit. Later I bought a Sig SP2022. So I ordered a new molded piece of kydex and swapped them out instead of buying a new holster. And I am now getting a piece of kydex for my new Kahr CW9. Get the Easy Assembly kit and they are only $50 shipped. After that, the kydex is like $15 pre-molded for another gun.

Same holster, just different kydex.

I just tied holstering a CW9 into a holster made for an LC9, and it won't go in....and it's leather which would be more forgiving than Kydex, so I say, no, it won't work.

Holster Recomendation

These hybrid holsters aren't that expensive, and are well-made. I've had both the LC9 & the CW9 (and a K9), and no, the holsters aren't interchangeable. But for the price, it's well worth buying additional holsters for each one that you want to carry.

I strongly recommend Jack at Butschers Leather. He does good work at a great price.
