I get the Ammoland email daily and today there was an article on starting new shooters out right. With millions of new shooters in 2020, I thought it might be useful to set up a link to that and some other resources, as I hope some will find their way to THR. I have been shooting for 60 years and change, but reading the article was my first exposure to position sul. So I browsed it and found this article: http://blog.cuttingedgetraining.org/post/Why-Do-We-Teach-e2809cSule2809d-Position.aspx I learned about the position, good and bad, but I also stumbled onto what seems to be a very comprehensive training site. Now I know more and more importantly have a new resource to explore.

The Ammoland article is here: https://www.ammoland.com/2021/01/be..._6f6fac3eaa-19553a8ad2-22367868#axzz6jWfT272z It is necessarily brief, but I recommend it to anyone who is new to the sport. Even an old goat like me can learn a thing or two if only we will, and we love to help those just getting started do so safely and effectively.

Do you have other good resources for new shooters? If so, please post links or suggestions.

Thank you for posting this article. I found it very helpful as a newbie.

The two best resources I've found for me are both on YouTube. One is "Carry Trainer" and the other "Warrior Poet Society". Great information on the basics of shooting and how to ease into being a firearms owner.
