I guess I have been on a holster binge for the past few weeks. I discovered a new source with many reasonable prices. It is Etsy.com

It started with me buying a used Shield 45 on Gunbroker. Figured I would need a holster so went online shopping. My search results included some on Etsy. I ended up getting this one for $64, delivered. I took these pictures with my 9mm Shield while waiting for the 45.

Of course while shopping for the Shield holster I came across others. I ended up ordering this one for my 3.5” model 27. This one was about $36 delivered.

I have a nickel plated S&W model 36. It’s one of my nicest revolvers so it should have a nice holster. This one was $34 and change.

My favorite brand of holsters is unfortunately out of business. They made kydex/leather hybrid holsters. Large piece of leather with a kydex shell on the front for whatever firearm it is. Made changing firearms very easy. And with the same piece of leather, very little break in period with a new firearm. I have several horsehide leather backs and one made out of alligator hide. My firearms are usually on the obscure side so finding a well fit leather holster is not easy for me. Which may be a good thing because I would buy more leather if they fit my carry weapons.

Thanks for the great tip! It hadn't even occurred to me to look on Etsy. I'm finding a lot of great options there!

Be careful with cheap holsters. Many don’t use vegetable tanned leather. The leather can rapidly (as in within hours) attack the finish.

I got a Kramer leather holster and a double magazine pouch for for my FiveSeven and it looked to be very high quality.

When my wallet recovers from my mot recent purchase - a PX4 Storm - I will get a Kramer for that as well.
