In researching options for a long target scope for my Win 52 I came across Leatherwood Malcom scopes . They are old school barrel mounted scopes for around $300. Down side is only 6X but for 50' indoor small bore might be enough. Any thoughts??
I did a search in the auction sites for Lyman Targetspot or Unertl scopes, and apparently the scopes that used to be $150 to $200 (used) back when I was shooting single-shot target rifles are now $600 to $1200 collector items.
So, the short-tube 6X Leatherwood does appear to be your best bet for an affordable optic for your Model 52. The adjustment on the rear mount looks kind of primitive, but you aren't going to be doing much adjusting once you're sighted in.
