My lee push through sizer is labeled. 358 and when I put as cast .359 bullets through they come out .357. I wonder how often people check these? It most likely isn't a huge issue as I will PC after sizing but dam.

Three different alloys will give you three different diameters. Alloy used is an important factor in a sizing die. That’s why the NOE is so popular. For the calibers I shoot a lot I have 3 different sizers for them.

A high percent of pure lead in the alloy, produces smaller diameters. Less spring back after going thru the sizing die.

Want bigger bullets, add antimony.

How come size first than powdercoat? Usually I do the exact opposite

Just have to wait for the body die to come back in stock..they don't last long
If I sized after PC I would be stuck with the smaller size. If I size before I can bump it back up.

I measure every die with all the different alloys I use. I have .357", .358" and .359"+ Lee dies for my 38/357 and 9mms. Variations in alloy will give up .001" to .0025" difference in bullet diameter, mostly bigger diameter...

They drop with my current mix at .359 were sized down in the lee swaging die to .357 and powder brought them back to just shy of .359. If I was traditional lubbing I would leave them alone, but .361 would be a little much after powder.
