Lee APP - Riser/Case Pusher

about 6000 rounds through the Lee App at this point, love the machine with the 3D printed roller handle setup
today, my riser/case pusher mechanism is not sliding nicely in the return to left position. Usually on the downstroke, it would slide back to the home position and open up the feed lips to grab the next case. it's hanging up tonight on every stroke...it will go back, it just takes 3-4 seconds and does a partial return- than a little more, and finally enough to clear the handles.
any suggestions?

Mine is doing something similar but in the other direction it's hanging up feeding into the shell holder and sometimes returning to the left as well, close to the round count as yours ,

Unhook the spring and remove the carriage. I'm willing to bet there is dirt/grime under it that is causing your problems.

Tried that. Blew it out with compressed air too.

I used some of the powdered graphite they sell at Lowes for locks. It only takes a little.

I will have to try that...I used a swab and grabbed some of the dry neck lube and attempted to make that work- no change.
it went from great to hmmmmmm in a quick second...I was pulling the riser back by hand to finish the last 25 cases or so.

There has got to be something causing friction in there, either on the rail part or the carriage. Maybe the plastic is galled under the lip or something. Some emory paper and graphite like was mentioned may fix it up.

I actually took a buffing cloth to everything, wiped it dry, and put some silicone lube on it. it seems to be fine now...but I want to see how it feels tomorrow after it has been sitting for 24 hours with the silicone on it.

Sometimes mine will hang up at the shell holder , the claw won't open quiet enough and then it'll pop and sometimes kick the shell in the holder out, it's only happened a couple times and I cleaned everything up but didn't see any real grit . I get best results when I work the app relatively fast and aggressively, seems to give me the best results and less hangups. Probably only done 1500 cases.

it is sliding along just fine again today- I was worried that the silicone might bind up...but so far it's behaving nicely.

I've seen that...and agree
this was the entire track not wanting to return to the start position..pulling it to the right to load a case- the spring pressure worked fine
this was the compressed spring not having enough energy/force to push it left to get the next case
so far the silicone lube is working well - it's back to sliding along freely
