I cleaned the dies on my LEE turret press and changed the disk on the LEE auto disk powder measure because i switched from N110 to 3N37.

With the disk set to .66 it should throw 7.2 grains bit it dropped only about 6.4. I did not just switch to the next larger disk because of:

This is the disk in the "loading" position:

Fine, everything is OK

This is the position where it should drop the powder:

This doesnt look right.

What is my mistake?

Something to look at...
A while back (years ago) I and others found new measures where the metal drop tube at the bottom of the measure was not fully seated in the body.
This caused short stroking!
Look inside the drop tube area, there's a shoulder in the (black) body and the (silver) tube should be pushed in enough to contact this shoulder.
Usually pushing the tube against your bench edge will push the tube home against this shoulder.

I'm not a fan of the wrap-around spring return you are using and use a combination of the chain lever and a spring.
It's easily disconnected to throw charges to weight by hand.
Something you might consider:

Some other seasoned reloaders here just hang a weight on the chain return arm to return the disc under the hopper, in place of this spring seen here.

Are you using a powder through the die expanding die? My problems have been that the measure was not fully screwed into the die or that the expander was not going far enough into the case to fully work the mechanism. So far I like my new auto drum better than the auto disc.

I once had the same problem Bill is describing. Make sure the die is screwed in enough to move the disk all the way out.

If the powder/expand die is farther down in the press it will move the disk more, but of course then it expands more, fine line to get both.

Usually about 3/4 of the cavity over the drop tube will get you there, does not have to be 100% but more is better.

That measure isn't delivering a full stroke. Are you using a riser between the die and measure? Carefully pull the spring off and then run a case up and see if it is still short. Check your settings.

These are likely sources of this issue. Is this a new setup, walterelm or has something has changed on your existing setup?

Make sure the lever that moves the disc is in the slot on the under side of the disc.

My problems have been that the measure was not fully screwed into the die or that the expander was not going far enough into the case to fully work the mechanism.

@sparkyv ... i have used this setup inkl riser for years .... all i did was change the disk
OK then,
The lever arm is in the wrong slot of the disc under-side.
Turn the disc over and look at it, the correct slot will be obvious, line it up on the lever and re-install it.
… fixed
That's all I've got for now,
:D
edit: wait, there's this, check where the steel arm goes into the aluminum sleeve for wear of the aluminum...look for it, could cause short stroking.:uhoh:

Edited to add pic.

Here is a picture of the measure completely disassembled. This is all there is to it. Very simple device. If you look closely at the piece in front of the spring you will see two tabs sticking out from the sides. that is what the activating lever rides on and moves the disk back and forth. that flat side on it fits into a channel on the body so it will only fir one way. Then if you look closely at that part you can see a wear mark on the slide from it rubbing on the lever. That was enough wear that it was causing this measure to bind up.

Also that piece should easily and freely slide up and down the tube on the body. Here with this one I actually replaced that slide with one that has the swivel on it which makes it much easier to remove and replace the measure.

The disks will only go onto the lever one way. If it slides around it is wrong. So I am guessing something is binding and the measure is no getting a full stroke.
The piece in the top right corner of the picture is actually the piece that fits inside the die. That is what flares the case and pushes the measure up, it is part of the die and not the measure.
