lee case length gauge and shell holder question

Hello,
The shell holder will not work as a regular shell holder on my press right? I am about to buy some gear and was just wondering before I forget to buy a shell holder that would work.

If you also buy Lee dies, they usually come with a press shell holder.

I have at least 4 different Lee shell holders. I have universal shell holders that work on 'almost' all of my presses. I have other Lee shell holders, some fit the Lee Auto Hand primer. I have screw-on shell holders and I have shell holders that are use when trimming.

Lee die sets come with the press shell holder (as RC says, read the description to make sure). The case length gauge, which is used with the Lee trimming tools will come with the right shell holder which is threaded to match the lock stud which comes with the Lee cutting tool.

The Lee hand prime tool requires yet another shell holder that is not threaded nor will it work on the press.

Good thing is that it is all inexpensive stuff. Example: For the hand prime tool, I bought the plastic box that came with like 12 of the shell holders for any caliber you can think of for around $12.

Not fair, my set came with 11 shell holders, both sets, the green one and the red one.

I had to go dig mine out to see if it was 11 or 12. 11 it is in the red box.

Close enough for government work.
