Would the Turet be faster? What is the difference in the 2 set ups?
Thanks
I had the same problem trying to figure which one to start with. The single stage will load 50 to 75 per hour. The Classic Turret will load close to 200 per hour. In the SS you have to change the die after every step. In the Classic all of the dies go in a turret and stay setup. I was talked into the Classic Turret and that was the best advice I got. After buying the Classic and loading for three weeks I realized that if I had started with the single stage then I would be upgrading because it wouldn't keep up with my ammo needs. I have had it for a year and a half and it still keeps up with my ammo needs and all of the competition I shoot in. I load at what seems like a safe comfortable pace for me. I look at every powder drop before I set the bullet on. I check OAL every 20 or so. Doing all of this I still load close to 200 per hour. I have never timed myself but I load the primer tray with 200 primers and there gone in close to a hour. I can load a thousand rounds a week very easy, but I enjoy reloading and my time in front of the press. The CLassic Turret is very easy to setup and use. Don't worry about how fast you can reload, just learn the press and the basics and the speed will come with experience. Check out this video to see the Classic in operation. http://www.leeprecision.com/html/HelpVideos/videos/Turret%20Press/loading%20on%20turret-1.wmvcornman: Would the Turet be faster?
