Lee collet crimp die vs factory crimp die question

I noticed when I opened the collet crimp die package there were not any instructions included. I'm sure it's not rocket appliances but I will definitely have to figure out what works.
Look down through the top of the die with no ammunition installed. You can see the fingers move. I don't crimp hard with the collet die because you can generate enough force to deform the bullet. That is not something I try and do. I'm not a huge fan of crimping in rifle. But I have tube mag guns and it's important. I love a good roll crimp, probably because I started really crimping with 357 mag again in tube magazines. If you crimp hard your case mouths will have 4 lumps. It may not hurt anything but I don't like it.

I will have to double check my package. I got home from work and the wife looked at me with a disgusted look saying I got another package in the mail. I kind of opened it quickly and then took it outside to the garage and set it on the loading bench. I got a couple of other things while I was at it in the same package. I will go through it tomorrow hopefully when I have a free uninterrupted minute and make sure I didn't over look something. If instructions come as a standard issue from lee and they did their part there is a pretty good chance I missed it

Need more neck tension? Size brass smaller using a Lee UNDERSIZE sizing die. Turn your expander down smaller. :)
I vaguely recall buying a lee undersize sizing die for that very reason but couldn't remember what caliber. My sizing die for .45acp has a U stamped on it . No complaints with neck tension there. :)

Most cases are way oversized and then are over expanded. I would chase the expanding side before the sizing side, but the only absolute is everything gets messed up at one point or another.

Digging through my box of Lee stuff tonight I did find some instructions. It looks pretty simple and I think I can figure it. When I get more free time I will play with it and see what happens.

I use the Lee collet crimp die for .38/357 mag and 44spl/44 mag. I had to chop .125" off of these dies for the specials I use a .125 washer to compensate.
