That looks like the Tim Allen Tool Time solution .... more power .... oohhhh, oohhhh, oohhhhhhh! I love it.

What RPM motor?

I'm thinking that too fast would wear the steel on steel trimmer bearing surface. I was thinking along the lines of 100 RPM or < .

I'm still working with the sewing machine motor with the variable speed foot control. I think I can set the speed limit some how, but be able to start -stop with the foot control.

3000 RPM. Yes, It would cause more wear if the motor is allowed off center, or the bearing was not lubed well. No big deal. I am tired of turning the crank for big jobs. I still have my Forster for little jobs. I like it better anyhow. Speed cuts brass cleanly.
