hi
i got some problems with my Pro Auto-Disk (lee lodmaster)

after 2k round i installed a rod instead of the ballchain
nearly 7k rounds loaded without majorproblems

but now it blocks everey round
the auto disct rises and throw the charge flawless but will not lower back in position
no matter how mutch the rod (or chain) is pulled it will not lower
if i push up the autodisc left end it lowers with out force on the rod

help

Almost has to be in the return spring, or the pivot point. Look for unhooked, stretched, broken parts in that area.

Welcome to THR!:)

Sounds like a burr in a slot, where "F" lever moves. I would disassemble the measure and look for the burr.

Have you cleaned and lubed it during those 7000 rounds of loading?
After thorough cleaning, lube with powdered graphite.
Of course, never use a wet lube.

sounds like the return spring to me too...i'd start there
Disk measure on a Loadmaster is charging with a chain. No spring there. A rod can be used instead of the chain. The same measure in Lee Turret is recharged with a spring.

what helg says is the correct setup--i.e., both the (manual) return / pullchain and the (auto) return / spring are not for use at the same time.

Clean it, and look for wear on the disk / ACB or on the hopper base / seal. The 'burr' idea may be the problem.
