so I’m reloading for a 6.5. Most other calibers I reload I have trim dies for from rcbs. I called them and they don’t offer it for the 6.5. I have been looking at the lee system. They say you can chamfer debur and trim to length with there delux trimmer. How can it trim to length and chamfer and debur all at the same time?

How does it cut the outside of the case while cutting the trimm to length against the die?

Post #2 already told you. It's a compound tool head with offset cutting surfaces. Once the desired case length is reached the next cutting surfaces make contact.

It's like an end mill cutter, with a slot that 2 blades fit with spring loaded tension which floats them. So after you get the OAL cut, it needs a few more turns to debur the case mouth.
I found that it did okay deburring the I.D. But the O.D. wasn't to my likings. Took the blades out and stoned a back relief which improved the deburring.

It works quite well and it is much more convenient than the RCBS lathe type trimmer. You won't regret the purchase.

It does it, at least the Deluxe Quick Trimmer does it. Give it a whirl. And if you're going to be doing a lot of them, there's a drill/electric screwdriver attachment for about $15 that makes it so you don't have to turn the crank.
