My new mold arrived yesterday. I just could not wait to fire it up. I cast 250 rounds last night in an hour and a half. I really like this mold, it makes very nice bullets, and a lot of them fast. I used a lead recovered from a range trap, they tested to a hardness of 13-15. Tonight I loaded a hundred of them and will head to the range in the morning to warm up the Colt and see how they work. The load is 4.4-5.2 grains (I loaded a test range) of HP-38 over a WLP primer. The bullets were lubed with Lee Liquid Alox and sized with a Lee sizer. Report to follow.

Griz, that's a neat way to mount your press so the boolits fall into a bin. Now why didn't I think of that!:banghead:

They look real nice! The 2r nose shape should feed flawlessly, and the TL boolit is usually very accurate.

I'll be danged - that's thinking way out of the box mounting the press upside down.

The thread was supposed to be about the new Lee mold, never expected to get comments on the press. LMAO! I got frustrated because the little red boolit catcher that came with the sizing die was tiny and always left 4 boolits in the tube when you were done. I racked my brain to try and come up with a ramp or slide or something to catch the little rascals so I did not have to stop the stroking when I was running 500+ at a time. If you order the Lee Anniversary kit you get the little C press and the Second Edition Loading manual for the same price as the Book by itself. On Lee's website it's 32.00 or at Midway it is just 24.00. The little press is small and light, and probably not good for much except a sizer die, but it works great for that.
