For about the price of a riser, you can buy the swivel adapter assembly. Then, you only need one riser.

You will love the turret compared to single stage! I started just like you and eventually went to the classic turret for 9mm, 44mag & 223.
I still use the single stage for my bolt guns though.

I noticed I was out of .44 Special yesterday, so I went out to the shop after supper and cranked out 100 rounds in 55 minutes on my Lee Classic Turret. That time was from walking in the door of my shop to walking out (after cleaning off the bench). Included in the time was priming the cases with my RCBS hand priming tool. At current prices, those two 50-round boxes of .44 Special are worth about $70 (my cost for components was about $11). The difference being my loads use 200gr LRNFP bullets meticulously loaded over 6.1gr of Trail Boss, a combo not available from any commercial loader.

G-d I love this hobby... If you like cartridges like the .44 Special or .45 Colt, you can pay for a pretty nice reloading setup in very little time.

Added: Oops, I was wrong. MidwayUSA has Ultramax 200gr LRNFP rounds in .44 Special for $32.99 per box of 50 (plus shipping). Unfortunately, they're out of stock and don't project getting any more until July 4th. Luckily they have Ten-X 200gr LRNFP Cowboy rounds in stock for $44.49 per 50 rounds, or Federal Champion 200gr LSWC ammo for $25.49 for a box of 20...

I didn't read the entire thread but thought I'd chime in with this in case it wasn't mentioned.

The Classic (cast base) Turret Press has quite a bit more head room and can reload .30-06. while the older Aluminum base press can't.

Make sure you get the 4-hole turret model if you want to seat and crimp in seperate steps (easier set up)

Sounds like those of you who have the Lee Classic Turret like it a lot. I got side-tracked the other day with work or shall I say "Honey Do's" so I didn't get to call Kempf, hopefully today.

After watching that video, I think that the single stage just might get unbolted from the bench, although the plan was to still use it for Black Powder Cartridges.

You just cannot go wrong with LCT. I have now reloaded a touch over 10,000 rounds of 9mm and about half that in 45 ACP without replacing, adjusting, changing anything. It is a genuine bulletproof piece of equipment.

The Lee Classic Turret may not be exactly right for everyone, but as a beginner, I don't think I could have found a press that suited me more.

And BTW, this isn't popular around here, but I bought from Factory Sales. They beat everyone's prices by a significant margin on all the Lee equipment I bought, and I didn't have any problems with communication or delivery times either.

YMMV.

make sure the kit has the Primer Feed Bracket for Turret Presses

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct...tnumber=467641

Its listed as a replacement part. I think you must have had a missing part in your package. I don't think the o.p. should order it.

The Kempf kit is a good deal, even if you already have a safety primer, life is better with one one each press. If you don't use large primers, get the new one in small so you can at least have a usable primer device on both machines, instead of indefinitely storing a brand new one of the wrong size, waiting for the possibility that you'll get a gun that needs it.

I have been loading on a LCT five years now. I load 9mm, 38/357, 45 auto, 223 and also have my lead hardness tester set up in a turret. Even shooting a little competition the LCT meets my needs to where I can't justify a progressive. I think it's a great press.
