That's the first time since last April when I got my Beretta. I felt absolutely naked without it. I kept imagining my own personal WWIII the whole time we were out.

You can bet my SA was unbelievable during that time. Anybody else done this or am I overreacting?

I feel naked without my carry gun; then again, I feel naked away from the house without my wallet, keys, pocket knife, et cetera. Well, to tell you the truth, I often feel naked without my clothes.

I've forgotten a few times or I had it in the console so there was no way to strap it on without everyone in the parking lot freaking

Only time I felt naked is when I left my house without my clothes

:D

Went into the post office today but the Emerson was handy. What a PITA to put the Blade-Tech UCH on in the car.

I dont feel naked...

But the thought that crosses my mind is...

With my luck, odds are THIS will be the time I could really USE a concealed weapon.

Then I buy ice cream and think happy thoughts.

I travel about 200 miles per day on my job - I am an onsite computer technician.

I have been over 30 minutes from home before when I realized I had forgotten my gun - I turned around and went home to get it.

I know one knucklehead, I'll call him "Kirk", that went to an ubertactical gun skul class and was so excited that he left his hotel room with an empty holster (left on top of the bathroom sink as he took it off for the morning library visit). He did not discover this until he was getting gasoline, 15 minutes later!

I went out without mine not long ago. I knew something didn't feel right.
My pants just didn't seem to fit right...kept having to pull them up!
Mark.

It REALLY bothers me if I don't have my CCW with me.

1. I tend to keep looking for it (as if I MUST have set it down somewhere close).
2. I feel like this will be the ONE TIME I will need it. (Murphy's law)

.... It drives me CRAZY!

I know where you're comin' from cool9mm !!

Was recently contemplating a trip to Kansas. I checked out the concealed and vehicle carry laws there - and basically it's no loaded guns on you or in the vehicle. Living in a concealed carry (with appropriate CHL) state - and the surrounding states with reciprical CHL agreements - this did give me pause. When you are used to having the right to carry a gun for defense - it's almost inconceavable that any place in this country would deny an honest citizen that right.

Not that I would feel I was in constant danger once the Kansas border was crossed - but the feeling of disgust that I would suddenly have to fear the law enforcement authorities of that state almost as much as I would the bad guys if I chose to have a handgun readily at hand.

It's not a good feeling. I really empathise with those of you that have to be wary of both the authorities that are suppose to protect you as well as bad guys if you choose to exercise your right to defend yourself and your family with a handgun outside the confines of your home or business property.

Sad, Sad, Sad.

cool9mm- you're over-reacting, but you'll get over it. As you can see by the other responses, it's not unusual to have that naked feeling, but it's like giving a speech: you just have to imagine that everyone else is naked, too. :)

Whenever I do not carry mine, I say to myself 'At least I did karate' ..by the way that still works, right guys???:D

The last time I thought about not carrying, just as I was leaving home one morning, the news said ' 2 men were shot and killed by gunmen after an attempted motor vehicle robbery last night. The gunmen escaped but police have launched a manhunt as the men are still believed to be in the area. I turned right back and went for the shotgun with some 00 and slugs. No pistol today!! :what:

Do you have children.

Do you allow them out of the house unarmed.

Perspective.

I leave my house without a gun everyday. :(

Unless I'm on my way to the range, in which case, they will all be unloaded in a suitable container with all ammo stored in a separate container...
