Leftover washer Win 94 Ranger

I need some help finding a home for a leftover washer.

I finished a take-down and clean on my late father-in-law's Winchester 94 Ranger (5622xxx). Everything went well except for the leftover washer (?) It is a lock washer; it has 3 or 4 "dimples" on the flat surface. It was stuck in the gunk inside the receiver after I'd removed all of the internals, so I have no idea where it belongs. I found several parts diagrams on-line and I could not locate any washer. I took a pic so you can get an idea of it's size. Thanks in advance!

That's a spring washer used to keep parts snug together and still rotate with out rattle. I have no clue as where it goes though except around on of the pins. Maybe to keep the lever away from the frame.

That must be it, although when I look at a close-up of the part from MWG it looks oval, and mine is round. Also, I don't know how it came to be inside the receiver, as I took off the finger lever when it was laying on the bench. Unless I picked up the parts after taking it apart, and it fell into the action. But it looks like the correct type of washer for the application...

The MWG picture is just a distortion from resizing the picture or something.

It is actually round just like yours.

Those are called "wave washers". As noted above, they are used to keep tension on parts and prevent rattling.

Well, I installed it on the right-hand side of the assembly as that looked most correct from the picture and from the parts. The movement of the lever seems correct; smooth and consistent, without binding. I'm sure it will go Bang in a good way. Thanks again.
