Okay, let me start with an apology if this is in the wrong section or straying from proper guidelines, but I can think of no other place to ask.

I'm Canadian, and I haven't studied American Law in quite some time, but an American friend of mine recently showed me a picture of a new possession: A rocket launcher of sorts, or so it would appear. It's about 3-3.5 feet in length, green and strongly resembling (though not exactly) This.

When I inquired as to the legality of owning such a piece, I was greeted with a look somewhat akin to :what:

I'm assured it's a real item. I was denied permission to post the picture I was shown of the device, hence the wikipedia photo, but could anybody shed some light on this for me that I can then transfer to friend?

Thanks

even if it were live, it would be legal so long as the proper NFA procedures had been taken to buy and pay the tax stamp on one... each live round would be a separate tax stamp as well... not cheap but it can be done...
