Legally Carrying Around Swords

Regarding the original question about carrying one in Arizona, pretty much anything goes here. I don't know why in the hell you would, especially for self defense. The Cholos around here would simply do a drive-by on you, turn around, and make a BBQ utinsel out of your blade! Collector swords are cool, but the folks I see carrying them around here occasionally have WAY bigger problems than defending themselves. Most make Marilyn Manson look like Beaver Cleaver.

once you pull a firearm, you must have the force of will to use it and in most cases (all cases?) it is fatal encounter

markscottshow.us,
you have a serious overestimation as to the effectiveness of modern pistol calibers. Approx. 80% of handgun wounds are survivable, this is why it is important to apply as many bullets as necessary. Blades, on the other hand are responsible for more violent deaths in the USA.

My Grandfather fought the Japanese in WWII, and ChiComs in Korea. They received a few bayonet charges, but no one ever reached their lines.

Yes, and Yes, over spoke but not enough in the other area,

most training is center of mass, or is that two the center and one to the head, unless you shooting minor calibers, a full bore 10mm or 45, two to the center of mass and you not dead yet <G>, tough SOB.....

And yes I agree bayonets are not decisive weapon, but when you low, really low on ammo, and the wolf is at the door, I take any large edge weapon I can find....

and yes I know you dont bring a knife to a gun fight, except when its one (of many?) backups...........
