I just got a brand new Leica ER 3.5-14x42 scope withe the ballistic reticle (# #51012) for $1299. I got it through www.Cameralandny.com who sponsors a lot of the giveaways on Long Range Hunting.com. Leica is giving a $500 credit when you trade in any operable scope towards a new Leica. Before Camera Land knocked off the $500 they took 10% off as a LEO discount.

$1999.00 - 10% LEO discount = $1799.10 - $500.00 trade in allowance for your scope = $1299.10 including shipping.

They also have 3.5 -10x42's and some Demos which they are knocking $400 off the already discounted Demo prices.

If you need a piece of incredible glass you really can't beat this deal.

Sounds like a great deal - but - there's probably only about 3 people reading this forum that spend that much on scopes, and I'll bet all three of them have all the Nightforce and US Optics scopes they can use.

If you really want to publicize this (for whatever reason) I would post the deal on Snipers Hide and M4carbine.net.

Thanks for the heads up. That is a good deal on some pretty good glass...I have never owned a Leica, but from what I have seen it compares favorably to Zeiss Victory, Kahles, and Swaro. That said, I am stocked up on optics right now...still have a new Kahles Helia CL 2-7x36mm and Nikon Monarch UCC 6.5-20x44mmAO sitting in their boxes waiting for the right rifle to come along. It seems that I run across more good buys on scopes than rifles...don't know if that is a good thing or not. :uhoh:

Would have considered it for my new Cooper, and even looked at a few of them at First Stop Guns in Rapid City, SD. Nice glass, seemed to be solidly built. My only complaint was the really really fine reticle on the ballistic reticle would be easy to lose in low light or on a dark animal in heavy cover. Image quality and color rendition were excellent though, and for a 30mm tubed scope weight seemed to be reasonable.

Had I known about this deal I might have gone with one, but instead literally just had a new Nightforce 2.5-10X32 show up from the nice folks at Midway USA with the high velocity ballistic reticle. A bit less objective diameter than I would have liked, but it seems bright and clear even when I took it outside this evening to have a quick look around with it. The illuminated reticle effectively solves the issue of lost cross hairs on dark animals or in low light.

Just trying to 'publicize' it in case anyone else wanted one. I know they are still expensive but you really can't beat the price. THR has always been a great site so I just wanted to share the info with you guys.

I really should be cashing in some bonds right now...thanks for the heads up. Saw the trade-in deal at SWFA but I'm still breaking in my latest two. Some days I'm tempted to sell them all off with the rifles they're attached to for a pair (or three) top notch combos.

Anyone have a moving van and $6,000 in cash? ;-)

That's a decent price with the discount. I am tapped out for this month though, bought a Zeiss 3x12, a USO 3.2x17 and got a call from my smith telling me my new 223AI build is about 2 weeks out.
