So a while back Cabelas had Lellier & Bellot 9mm ammo cheap, and I picked up a few hundred rounds. I took two of the boxes two the range the other day and noticed something really odd. The first box of 50 had normal noise and recoil compared to the Wolf and Winchester ammo I used in the past. Well the next box was a lot louder as well as had a noticeable increase in recoil. It wasn't a couple strange rounds, it was the whole box. So it would seem it was a hotter load than the other boxes I've used before.
Now I triple checked both boxes. Both were marked as 115gr FMJ. I would think this would be unusual, but has anyone else had similar experiences with this or other brands of ammo?
Oh, and if anyone cares, it was a Ruger SR9. Man, I love that gun.
Whoops, shouldn't have said that. I'll probably get made fun of for putting L&B and Wolf through it then, huh?
