LEO shot at gun range

They were very careful to neglect to mention who shot him. I suspect the gun was going into its holster and the his finger was on the trigger when the officer "was somehow shot in the leg".

Looks that way...there would be a much longer story if it were otherwise.

I also think this sounds like a reholstering w/ finger on the trigger type of issue.

We had an officer shoot herself in the leg one time because of this technique, though her injury was reportedly limited to a "racing stripe" down the leg. Unfortunately, the knee-jerk reaction to this event in my department was that we were required to add the "New York Trigger" to our Glocks. Sigh.
