Less trajectory?

You could really go off the beaten path and get an 8mm Mauser. A little less trajectory than the .280 or 30-06, but it packs a pretty big punch.

Brasso mentioned that the 8mm Mauser has "a little less trajectory" than the other mentioned calibers in the "280 vs. .30-06" thread. How so? I guess I need edjumicated.

If by "trajectory" they are refering to the parabolic curve that the projectile makes, which crosses the line of sight twice in a properly sighted rifle (@ ~25m & ~200m), then I would say that the 8mm X 57mm Mauser (7.92mm) has MORE trajectory than the 06, 270, or 280.

What he MEANT to say was that it didn't shoot as flat as the other two cartridges.

That's not really a proper use of the word trajectory.
