hobbeeman, there is a big difference between the UK and its apparent disgust with self-defense and how I feel we should deal with the events of the past.
Terrorism may be conducted for many reasons, but it always seems to have the effect its named after. It produces fear in a society. While it may be scary, we can not allow that fear to turn us into sheep bleating for our shepherd. We must remain strong as individuals if we hope for our country to remain strong.
One way to do this is accept that we are afraid, but then have courage and move on with our lives.
By doing what the Brits have done in the past, we push America forward and do not allow it to degenerate into the quivering mass the terrorists hope to create. Its about being strong in the face of adversity.
