our deer here are normally around 75-150lbs on the hoof they aren't really that big compared to you guys have in the north.

You'll be just ducky in that case. The deer we get here come in around double or maybe even more than that. They look like slightly skinny shetland ponies running around here.
 
... right up until you need to go and get the quad and heft the dressed out halves up onto the rack for the trip back to the truck.... or WORSE! To sling them up over a shoulder and walk them back to the truck.

What a thing to have to complain about, eh? :D
 
well I gotta say I am lovin this new rifle! its super fun to shoot and is accurate with 50gr of 3f goex bp and a dry patch with lub applied on one side and ball loaded with the lub against the bore of the gun. it shoots very well nice groups and so going back out with it again today! :)
