I was looking at several models of the Leupold LPVO for AR or AR10 carbine use. Please share any input or experiences with these if you have any.

I have the VX6HD 1-6x24 with the firedot. I have it on my Ruger GSR in 450 Bushmaster currently, and have been using it hunting the past few years. I love it, glass is super clear, great dusk/dawn performance and the turrets are real positive and the lock is a must have feature on all my field optics.

5x low end (1x is the goal of an LPVO)
4x top end. Not all models are illuminated (at a bare minimum, another now standard bonus)

And it’s made in America except for the glass.

Can you explain your first line I dont quite follow.

I've got:

VX6HD 1-6X on my 3Gun carbine
VX3HD 1.5-5 on a woods carbine

Both illuminated.

Honestly I don't notice the extra .5X on the low end. Both of my scopes are crystal clear and the dots are daylight bright.

What do you think about this scope for a 16" ar10

Depends on what you want to do with your rifle. I have had 3-9x40's on 3 hunting rifles (308,30-06 and a 22mag) I've used for years for everything, from deer to squirrels and woodchucks. Great for all around use. 3x has never been to much for up close for deer or small game. That said of late Im interested in putting together a light weight rifle, maybe 2 with Lower power scopes or fixed power. For tracking deer and doing drives. Im also going to try something different for the 22mag. That Swarovski scope being slightly smaller would be pretty sweet on a hunting rifle. But its not going to scratch the 1x itch. Im really bummed the Leupold FX 2.5 ultra light is no longer available. Good luck with your optic hunt
