leupold or zeiss

I am looking to purchase a new scope for my win .270. I am split between the leupold 3x9-50 and the zeiss 3x9-44. Is the zeiss worth the extra money? What are the advantages of each?
 
Depends on the Leupold. I would take the Ziess over a Rifleman or VX-1. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference between the Ziess and a VX-2. And for about the same amount of money you will probably like the VX-3 better than the Ziess.

Is there any other recomendations that are better than these choices for around the same price?
 
Well... Nikons high end stuff is sweeeeet.
I have also heard some luck from Burris but have never tried them.

But get the Leupold. :cool:
