I have read the Leupold info about returning a scope, I know they have a lifetime warranty. I dont understand the part about us paying in advance for service/repairs though. have any of yall ever sent a scope back to Leupold and what was your experience. I got a VX II that wont adjust windage anymore and I want to return to Leupold, like I said I saw their directions, just dont quite understand you have to pay for service when they are guaranteed.

Besides being great scopes overall and made in America, Leupolds warranty is a huge reason why its the only brand ive ever bought for my hunting rifles.

And unlike todays imported Asian scopes that once that model is discontinued the best they will do is send you something of like value(maybe),Leupold will still be able to rebuild even a 30 year old model.
Big difference.

I tried the "Lifetime Warrenty" on a simmons scope:(, was told they no longer make that model and couldn't do anything for me.

Guess what no more simmons scopes!!!

Lupy is GTG on customer service. They have bent over back wards for me in getting the proper rings and mounts.I had a Remmy 700 that with a Vari-XIII (using Lupy rings and mounts)that was bottomed out with elevation at even 50 yards, two feet low on the paper.Lupy asked the serial number on my gun and when I bought it(new gun). They knew the problem and the tech said he would send me new rings and mounts and a shim kit free of charge,I offered to pay, lupy said nope,he did.

"Lupy"????:barf: Leupold gave you the best service in the optic's industry -- the very least you can do is spell their name right!!!
