I have been looking aty getting a laver action rifle, I would like to have a Marlin 1894 or a 1894C. The C model would complement my Colt Trooper Mark III, That way I would only have to buy one kind of ammo. Since these are hard to find what would ya'll recommend? And, yes, price does matter.

I just went through this same thing, and purchased a Marlin 1894C. It has not come in yet, but I'm so looking forward to shooting it as I have never had a lever gun before. It took me weeks of debating but I finally pick the Marlin. And as I'm sure someone is going to say they are built strong enough for the heavy stuff.
