I don't believe you found 3 lawyers that could point to the safety.
But Carl your really on to something, safety mod is genius. But the fact that the anti gun mob has force introduced an extra unneeded safety, and in turn a new manual of arms, to one already well established and engrained, there by causeing a climate of uncertainty to even the well experienced sportsmen, should in no way be construed as an over all improvement in firearms safety. In fact I think ANY legislative body that had a hand in creating this confusion Should be held Liable...thats about the way they'd word it isnt it?

I have an older pre-safety Rossi. It has been a great gun dependability wise. The sights leave a lot to be desired, as another poster stated. If I were looking for one today I would be bidding on this....http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=230406110
Best wishes ...chas
Chas Thanks for the heads up on this. Seems like I now own a B92. Can't wait for it to arrive. With shipping and FFL fees I may have paid a LITTLE more than I should have but, what the heck I wanted it.

Well, theres a saying, "you didn't pay too much, you just bought it too soon". I payed perhaps a bit more for my Browning 92 than I may have been able to find another one at the time, but I wanted it, and was willing to pay the price. I don't regret it. It's one of the best made, fitted and finished guns I've had, besides other Miroku made Brownings and Winchesters. Many that have them figure they are better made and tougher guns (better steel) than the originals. BTW, I paid almost what you did (if you were the one that won that auction that was refered to), and it was nearly 15 years ago.

Well the B92 came in yesterday. It was in very near mint condition, Really better than I expected. My hat's off to Tombstone Trading. I guess it's OK to put a plug in for them. Anyway I got to get out and fire a few rounds through it today. I'm really going to like this gun. Recoil was a little heavier than I expected, but not too bad. I have some other lever guns, older straight stock 336 in 35 Rem, 39A, and a BL22, but I think this one has become my favorite shooter. Not sure what kind of group it will shoot yet but I could hit soda cans at 80 yards after I figured the sights out. Gotta hold a real fine bead. Does anyone know the twist rate on a B92? Today I was shooting white box Winchester in 240 soft points, but will be shooting my reloads with Hornady 240 XTP's for hunting and Berry's for plinking. I am very well pleased with this rifle.

RugerMcMarlin, you are out of line and you are being disrespectful. And you have shown your age or lack thereof. Hell, where do you think Wikipedia gets their information? While CraigC may be a little:evil: opinionated, he has that famous "little finger" knowledge thing. As in, a lot more than you know.

The current Henry, while being a relatively strong weapon, is comparable to the Winchester 94 for its ability to be slicked up and/or tuned. The company had to buy its way in to be approved as a SASS legal weapon. We voted on it when I was a TG and we hated it. SASS rules says original or replicated. Since SASS is ruled and ran by the Wild Bunch, they over-ruled us and allowed the Henry in. There ain't never been a weapon like it. And you rarely see one at a match. If you do, it will show up later for sale. Won't run close witha 73 much less a Marlin. Huntin' maybe. Competition huh uh.

That my friend is the true worth of any gun, whatever your willing to pay. I'm glad you won it, and that you like it, and that I was able to be a small part of it. Best wishes and enjoy....chas
