I was in the store as the gent brought a few pieces in for consignment. I waited until he left, 2 HRS. then pounced! I was almost drooling when I heard the price on consignment!
 
If it was a consignment I wouldn't have bothered waiting. Out of respect for the shop owner if someone is selling their collection directly to him then I wait but I would think the consignment guy would be happy to get the cash in the same trip.
 
I did not want the seller to realize the shop owner was giving him a lowball book value. These usually run 3-400. He traded in a winchester carbine 1951 in 92% 30-30, on consign for 400.
