LGS only including (2) magazines with Gen 4 Glocks

An LGS near me is only including 2 magazines with gen 4 Glocks - price for a 17, 19, and 26 are all $599.99.

Is this normal behavior? They're supposed to come with 3 I thought. I'm assuming they are taking one out and screwing people but don't know for sure.

No, you only get 3 if youre buying on the certified first responder program, LE, etc... otherwise you get 2 mags...

Bud's sells Gen 4 Glocks with all 3 magazines to us lowly citizens. If I recall Glock got pissed off at dealers who would snag the 3rd magazine from the box and sell them separately a while back. I'll see if I can find an article...

Every Gen 4 that I've gotten came with 3 mags. Getting 2 mags with a gen 4 Glock is definitely not normal.

The label on the box should say how many magazines are supposed to be in the box. Mags are easy to come by again, so I don't know why the dealer is stealing them.

My Gen 4 17 came with 3 mags.

I was told by Ruger CS once the most common item pilfered from new rifles are Ruger rings, no wonder, they cost near $100.

Yeah - I have no problem with them snagging the mag . . . if they sell the gun as used with a price to match, but if you're selling a new gun you owe it to the customer to sell it exactly as the manufacturer shipped it.

$599 is a high price for a Gen4 Glock to begin with. The Gen 3 only comes with 2 mags but the Gen4 comes with 3. I would ask why and if they have no good excuse (I doubt they would) I would shop somewhere else.

This is incorrect. Yes, blue-label LE guns (whether Gen 3 or Gen 4) come with 3 mags, but so do all Gen 4s.

If you only get 2 mags in a Gen 4 then either there was a mistake at the factory or someone took a mag out of the box at some point. At the LGS where I used to work we actually had a visit from our a Glock rep because someone called Glock and claimed we sold them a Gen 4 with only 2 mags (this was during the panic when mags were scarce; there were reports from around the country of LGSs doing this). It was pretty annoying to us because if the customer had just called us instead we would have given them an extra mag for free (we had plenty even during the panic). But it did show how seriously Glock takes that issue.

Give the LGS a chance to correct the situation; it's possible they didn't do it on purpose. But if they're intentionally taking a mag out of the box, call Glock and report them. Glock won't be happy about it.

Most likely: Yes!

That IS normal behavior for THAT particular gun shop. You can ask them politely, giving them a chance to make it right, or simply take your business to a retailer with more integrity.

A quick call to snitch on them to the Glock police is also one of your potential courses of action.

Just picked up a gen 4 41 a few weeks ago and yes 3 mags. I would ask the LGS and proceed based on his/her response.

They aren't just screwing the customer, they are screwing Glock out of their intended value proposition, and Glock is much more likely to be able to correct that kind of toolish behavior on the quick than a customer.
