I have a Smith Airweight bodyguard with clear anodized finish, and would like to find some light colored boot-style grips. I would prefer rubber or polymer, but I suppose light colored wood would also work. Thanks.
mbr,
I prefer houge rubbergrips with the finger grooves on all my revolvers. I have a j-frame 36 and 2 k-frames with these grips and they seem to help me have better control of the gun. I have small hands and short FAT fingers.
My 2 cents

Years ago, Safariland made a composite grip in black
and a wood color. You might find some at a gun show.
They are open back with finger grooves.
I had the wood colored ones cut down by the
gunsmith at King's Gun Works in Glendale, CA.
If you want wood, you won't find a finer boot grip
than Spegel's. http://www.lightningarms.com/spegel.htm http://www.craigspegel.com/
hogue makes or used to make wood grips in the same configuraton as the black rubber grips but you would have to find someone that stocks them to pick a pair of blond ones.

I recently bought this 637 with pink grips.
Pink grips seem to be a $20 option, but this particular shop had the pink version cheaper than the regular ones anywhere else. That shop didn't have the regular ones in stock and the pink version comes with a black set anyway, so I bought it.
Yes, I did put the black ones on after I got home.
mbr,
I've found Badger Custom Grips to work very well in soaking up recoil and they are reasonably priced too. Their Walnut Boot Grips are fairly light in color. If that's not light enough they also have a Boot Grip in White Corian.
I bought a set of Rosewood Boot Grips for my M642 which are just great! They are fairly light but the Walnut are even lighter.
