Limit increase at Academy.

A small step in the right direction, lets hope they load up on the 2000 round .22lr buckets :)

I bought a box of WWB 9mm last week at Academy and at that time it was still a one box limit.
And I too agree this was a step in the right direction.

The academy here will probably have to do the same thing. They are running out of room for all the ammo behind the customer service desk.

I've seen purchase restrictions and lead times on ammo orders relaxed elsewhere as well. I just wonder if there will be a price correction down the line, once demand is satisfied.

Just bought many flats of shotgun ammo at Academy in Valdosta -not even a blink of an eye; no signs about any restrictions on anything else either and they had plenty of everything

Unfortunately my local Academy (Beaumont) has very little but the higher end .223 and .308 behind the service desk. Definitely not seeing much .22LR, occasional boxes of 50 rds.. No huge surpluses here. Definitely no bulk packs.

They only had limits on certain calibers, mainly 9mm, .40, .45, .223, 7.62x39, .308 and I think .380. You could buy all the 10mm, .38, .357, 12GA, .243, .270, .30-06, and a bunch of other calibers, well at least the academys I went to anyway. They also let you buy up to 3 boxes of one caliber if you bought a firearm that used it, bought a .45 and they let me buy 3 boxes at the same time instead of the 1 box due to customer complaints about not being able to buy enough to shoot their new purchase.

We do not have Academy's up here. Most of my factory-ammo is purchased at our local Fleet-Farm store.
I am happy to say that I went there just tonite, looking for some hardware for my steel-rifle targets, and just waltzed thru the gun dept. to find the shelf stocked with CCI mini-mag 40grand 36gr HP bullets !!
There was a limit of 2-boxs per customer, which was fine with me, now I can break out the rugers again and enjoy some light plinking,, (Did I mention they were NORMAL price ?)
$6.49/100

My local walmart had about 40 boxes of 223 (don't remember the brand, but it was brass case), lots of .40, some .45, and plenty of most other rifle calibers. No 22, though.

My local Cabela's has the one box restriction, but they told me today that if I do an online buy for delivery to my local store, I can do that once a day and then pick up however many i have bought (one per day) all at once. If it's actually in stock in the store, they pull it off the shelf, otherwise it gets shipped in.

Since only one was "bought" each day, I could easily stop by once a week and pick up 7 boxes. Now that Federal AutoMatch .22 lr is now in stock, that is my new plan.

They did give me a bit of a hard time today buying one box upstairs in the firearms area and one at the general checkout area

Academy here has relaxed their limits as well. I have been able to pick up about 800 rounds of 22lr this week, automatch and american eagle.
