Great news. Lincoln City Council rejects CCW ban. I am so glad my old home town will not cave in to the wack job mayor and cheif of police.

Truly great news in the Cornhusker state. Just last week, the Omaha city council voted (with enough votes to override the mayor's promised veto) to end Omaha's local non-CCW ordinance.

About time this state started flying right----now if we can get 'em to cut taxes and spending.

Sorry ---every little podunk town doesn't need a 4 lane concrete divided hiway and every state employee doesn't need a state owned car to drive around in--not to mention too many state employee's hired anyway--and all the benefits we pay them.

Thank god for term limits and good riddence Ernie Chambers.

Ernie is a moron. Is NE going to honor any other states CCW permits? Do we even know about that yet?

I grew up in Lincoln, and it's a real disappointment to hear of my home town doing something so stupid. Even with the influence of Ernie Chambers, I've never been able to understand why it took Nebraska so long to pass any kind of CCW law, even one so flawed as what finally went through.

Cost for permit is $100.00 for 5 years. I've written 2 letters to the Editor about this issue. Mayor Seng (what a joke) and Chief Casady are using the "sky is falling" approach, trying to ban CCW.
