Several weeks ago, went wandering in to the local gunshop looking for a Blackhawk convertible (45 LC/45 ACP) and ended up with one of the Lipsey's 45 LC/ACP flattop Blackhawks. Built on the smaller frame, 5 1/2 in barrel, has xr3 grip frame.

Replaced trigger spring with a Wolff spring (left the hammer spring alone). I've got better than 500 rounds of ACP, LC (cowboy, Buffalo Bore 255 gr standard pressure, Blazer 200 gr).

Very, very nice shooter. Bless the adjustable sights (big difference in POI for the different loads). Trigger has smoothed out and is light & sweet.

I thought about changing out the grips or grip frame for something beefier but have changed my mind. Sorting the trigger seems to have removed my need for a larger grip, works fine as is.

My sons love the thing. Me too. More accurate than I am. Big badda-boom.

I picked up a copy of Handloader last week and ... there it was on the cover.

Turns out Brian Pearce was a motivator for this one. Thanks Brian!
