About ten or fifteen years ago, one of the Fox expose shows (Inside Edition, I think) ran a video of an attempted liquor store holdup.

The guy behind the counter was Asian, the three or four holdup men were Black.

When the holdup men got to the counter and pulled guns, the Asian guy pulled what I think was a Model 10 Smith or a Colt Official Police and started shooting. His technique was simply marvelous. He looked like Jerry Miculek putting on a demo. I believe he got all of them, and was only lightly wounded himself.

Is anyone familiar with this video? If so, does anyone know where I can download a copy from the internet.

I've been impressed with the store owner since I first saw this video. I used to know a gunstore which had a copy on videotape. I don't know if they still have it, but I'd rather download a copy if possible.

Thanks.

"The guy behind the counter was Asian, the three or four holdup men were Black."

sounds like the start of a joke!
And of the three stickup men, one was a rabbi, one a Catholic priest, and the other an imam! :D

I hope someone has access to that video. I'd like to see that too!
That guy was ON FIRE!

I think I'd just seen the Steel Challenge on ESPN, while setting up my first Dillon RL550B. The guy might just as well have been shooting plates as holdup men.

That guy should have closed the liquor store and gone on the competition circuit!

A friend who used to live in Texas, told me about a similar incident which happened in Texas in the '90s.

There was a Vietnamese home invasion gang running amok in [I believe] Houston. They targeted mostly Vietnamese, who had a cultural bias against dealing with the police.

One day, a Vietnamese guy [a doctor?] came home and saw the outside garage lights on. This was apparently a pre-arranged signal with his wife that something was amiss. Retrieving a firearm, he went into the house. I'm told the next few minutes resembled a Steven Seagall movie. The bottom line was several dead home invaders and the guy and his wife unharmed.

Just as a general bit of advice, if you're going to try to strongarm a Vietnamese guy in his house, try to make sure he wasn't a Vietnamese Army Ranger before he came here...

I'm a Asian Texan too. Fear me. :p

..but seriously, if your 18th day present from your dad included an uzi, mac 11, and sig, you know not to invade this house.

I love it here! Some of you guys are funny!

BTW, check youtube and do a search thatll be the best place to find that video.

Bah, I know I have it somewhere, unfortunately my videos are scattered across many hard drives. The search continues!

If you ever search YouTube, you realize how much crap is actually on there. There should also be a law about putting music that doesn't fit to a video.

I am awaiting the video gift from SPECTRE

Current trends:

According to the sergeant who instructed my Tactical Shooting and Advanced Tactical Shooting courses, since the State of Michigan went to "Shall Issue", such robberies have changed. Such robberies are no longer being done predominantly by an individual; they are being done by multiple bad guys, i.e. small gangs.

This is the one reason given by our instructor for carrying a back-up pistol and spare magazines. In a recent thread, someone asked about how much ammunition people carry. I was rather set back in my chair to read that many people carry no spare pistol, and more frightening no spare magazines.

I looked, no luck

youtube is to crowded with idiots to be very useful , we need a gunnie database of cool vids..."guntube"

A different but equally entertaining video clip is the one of a BG who tries to rob a fried chicken restaurant. He gets a good beat down and then the employees dump a vat of hot oil on him. I think he'll only rob snow cone stands once he gets out of prison.
