Had a chance to actually go out to the shop and fool around with the new KMG today. Heres some pics. Blade is 5160 in 3/16ths at 60 grit. I like this drop point design, so I'm gonna make a few of them I think.

That's a nice basic design! I never could flat grind though, much preferring hollow grinding. How many hp on that KMG?

Thanks 2HP motor 220V. More precise than my old homemade 2x72. -Larry

Sweet, my old Bader had 1 1/2 hp and I could stop it flat grinding. 2hp is the way to go!

For scales I dunno maybe some stabilized Elm burl with a little spalt....

The elm came from Missouri from a friend of mine. Sweet stuff... Larry
