If this in wrong place please move. Thanks

Now,... I just received a replacement magazine spring from Brownells Wolf springs. Was looking for stronger spring.
I replaced the existing spring with the "stronger" spring. H&K USPc .40.

Reloaded the rounds into magazine, Guess what?

Instead of the 10 round capacity, I now had a 9 round capacity. Needless to say, I reinstalled my old spring.

The wolf spring is longer, NOT stronger.

I guess the question I have is why are we not told one round less with using our springs.

Comments please.
:cuss:

stick the new spring back in...load it up...let it sit....few days...put the last round in....new spring...are tuff. Arc-Lite

Thanks for the reply, But the problem is that the spring being longer, when compressed the added coils take up the space of the 10th round.

Why did you change springs to begin with? Were you having feeding issues? I have HK mags that have lasted me years & 1000's & 1000's of rounds and they're all using their original springs.... :)
