Load request: 10MM, 155g Gold Dot, 800X

Looking to load up some 155g Gold Dots with 800X. I've seen some people post 11.6g on the high end, but it was only a random find and didn't really discuss the results.

Interested in your experiences with this combination.

Hodgdon data says 9.8 is MAX with a 155 XTP.

Lyman #49 says 9.8 is MAX with a 155 Silvertip.

Sounds like 9.8 is MAX with a 155 to me..

FWIW, 800-X has HUGE muzzleflash and is NOT a good choice for PD ammo.

Strange that Hogdon doesn't have a pressure estimate or starting cgarge listed for 800X for 10mm. Just decrease by 10% and work up is my approach.

800X meters like corn flakes, so it's best to weigh every charge if you are going to use it.
