Loaded magazine in vehicle/CA

The only thing he could think of why he was asked, he had a NRA sticker on his vehicle. At the time he didn't know that having a loaded mag or ammo in the same container as a firearm in Kali was/is a no no.

This brings back an old memory. I was once pulled over for not having a seatbelt. The CHPer asked me if I had any firearms, which I said no. He then asked to search the car, at which I said yes (hey I was young and stupid and had nothing to hide). After searching through my car for 30 minutes with me sitting on the side of the street like an idiot. The LEO comes back and says your free to go. I asked him what made him search my car. "It was your shirt" I was wearing a black T-shirt with an outline of a bucks head with the Browning logo underneath and a slogan something like "Browning, a tradition of excellence". I will never consent to a search again without a search warrant.

As to the magazine carried in the car. A few of my LEO friends confirmed in old conversations with them. As long as the magazine is seperate from the gun and the gun is in the trunk. You are okay. I have been transporting like this for over a decade.

And for you people not living in Cali. Yes we all who still live in Cali know the grass is greener in the other states, but there are some things more important in life than firearms, like family, friends, and hot chicks. (I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't already have a crap load of "assault weapons" already grandfathered in)

So please keep your "Cali sucks" comments to yourself. pretty pretty please???

Other states have hot chicks.

Every time I hear these stories from CA it makes me want to puke. I honestly dont think there is a problem with 99 pecent of the public carrying loaded guns if they want. All the people I worry about having guns would still do it if it were illegal (and for many of them it already is illegal). CA needs to stop harassing the law-abiding and start going after the 10 million+ criminals in the state.
