Loading 32 Remington, I removed the rim, cut an extraction grove in 30/30 brass and necked up to 32. This brass is working great. Having problem finding .321 bullets. I slugged the barrel and it measured .321. I have a 8 MM mold that I size to .323, are these too big, will they cause dangerous pressure increase?
Can the Lee seizer in .314 be opened up using a rod and emery cloth? Any one had any experience doing this?
I have some .321 165 gr jacked bullets with the red plastic tips and they work well, would like to find a cast bullet for this.
Shooting in a mod. 14 with the twisted mag. tube so the points are not a problem.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :)
Thanks for you input.

Twisted mag tube, yes I know what you mean. Pointed bullets are OK. That's what it is made for.

Open up a .314" sizer to .321" with dowel and emery -- No way. You won't be anywhere near concentric. It would be an unfortunate mistake.

.323 cast lead bullets in a .321 bore -- Sure! Lead bullets .001 or .002 larger than bore are very efficient. You use reduced charges with lead bullets anyway (because they are inherently efficient but not as tough as jacketed). Be sure to get proper load data. Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook is a gem. It discusses lead bullet diameter in the chapters, an excellent read.

And congrats on making brass from 30-30. You da man!

I tried to post before, I hope I do not screw this one up.

Yes the bullet selection is a problem. Hornady makes 2 different bullets. the 170 gr. FTX flex tip, and the 170 gr. flat point. The problem with them is the location of the cannelure. If you load the bullet to crimp in the cannelure, the O.A.L. will be too long. These bullets are made for the Win. .32 Special.
The only bullets that will work are the Speer .32 cal. bullets. The cases should be trimmed to the minimum length, and they can be crimped to just below the max. O.A.L cartridge length.
I am going to order a 100 bullet sample pack from Missouri Bullet Company. They have Hi-Tek coated 32-40 RNFP bullets that are .321 diameter. I hope that the crimping groove is in the correct position.
The only other option is to buy a canneluring tool. The cheapest I have seen costs $125. I have enough brass, but the bullets are a problem.

Buflow,
Indeed, you may find that the .323" "boolits" perform better than jacketed.

You really ought to be over at "castbollits.com". They have sub forums dedicated to what you are doing.

My Marlin M336 in .35Rem is a dedicated cast boolit gun. I'm running a .361" bullet diameter. 220gr at 2,050fps. Mild pressures, 20% greater energy than 200gr jacketed bullet. 2moa, and expands as well as any commercial jacketed bullet.

I use .311" in ALL my .30cal. .30Carbine to .300RUM! To include .30/30.
You'll be pleased with your .32.
