Found some Remington 210gr JHP that I would like to reload for .44 Special with Power Pistol (as this is the only powder I can find). But I can only find data using 200gr JHP with Power Pistol. Anybody ever use the combination.

1. What gun are you shooting them in??
(A .44 Mag is one thing. A Charter Bulldog is quite another.)

2. Alliant shows 8.6 Max with a 200 Speer Gold Dot.

3. Start load would be 7.8.

4. 7.8 will work just fine with 10 grains more bullet weight.

5. But Power Pistol would be one of my last choices for loading .44 Spl with any bullet weight.

That's all I know.

You have to decide whether to treat a plated Gold Dot as equivalent to a JHP. Alliant lists Golden Saber for 200 gr and Power Pistol. Personally, I would until I got to hotter loads. Then I would have to start lower than my goal and then run test batches. The suggestion of 7.6gr seems right on to me, but I don't know why I would not use Power Pistol. I have a lot of it along with other choices and intend to use every grain, although more on .45 Colt, 9mm, and .40 S&W. I prefer HS-6, 8.6 gr with a magnum primer, noting that my Taurus 431 is neither big nor heavy.

The Gold Dot is not a "plated" bullet like the Rainier. It is a bonded core bullet where the jacket is plated to the core instead of formed from gilding metal tubing. It is vastly superior to any "plated" bullet and to most jacketed designs. Like the XTP, which is prone to core/jacket separation.

I don't have a load for that exact combo, but for a 240 grain #44200 HP-XTP (Hornady bullet) Their manual lists Max 6.8 gr power pistol.

I think you would be fine to start around 6.4 with the lighter bullet and work up a load.

When it comes to 44 Spl I, like the others, always want to know what firearm will they be fired in? Modern arms are going to be fine with any published loads, but I wonder if the gun goes back to black powder days.
