My load per the Lee manual
45acp 200swc
4.8gn titegroup min load.

Would it be dangerous to download to about 4.4 ???
This is just for target shooting.

The reason I ask is because I have seen data differ from load book to book.

Not a problem, if it will cycle your gun. I've used 4.5gr of Titegroup with 200gr SWCs in one of my bullseye 1911s, had no issues with a light spring, 14lb if I recall correctly.

The online Hodgdon manual shows a min load of 4.4 grains with a 230 grain FMJ bullet, so you would be okay. Velocity is about 744 fps. You might have to go to a lighter spring than 14 pounds but Brownells and Gil Hebard carry lots of different weights.

You have to remember the Lee Manual just lists data from other manuals; they don't do any testing themselves.
