I have talked before about using a bore size ball and .020 thick patching in
a muzzleloading rifle. A few of you have wondered just how I was to get
such a tight combo down the barrel. Well I found a old video I had made 22
years ago. It shows me loading a .454 dia. ball in a .450 bore measured land
to land with .020 thick patching. I use a 1/4 steel loading rod. You can see
how easy the ball goes down, once it is started. My wife shoots a .410 dia.
ball in her .400 bore 40 caliber and it loads just as easy. WATCH!
