I just bought a Uberti Walker and found that the generic loading stands offered at Cabelas, Possible Shop and other black powder outlets are not well suited for this weapon. My friend has a 1851 Navy and it seems to work well with his gun. I have also read that the generic stand works on the 1860 Army and 1858 Remington. I did want a compact, collapsable stand I could easily take to the range, so I decided to build my own. I made the stand of a hardwood, red oak, and used a spar varnish to finish it off. I also used a solid brass, three-screw hinge which is more sturdy than that found on the generic stand. It fits the Walker perfectly.
