I bought the wrong powder, wanted to get h4350 but got imr4350 Anyone have any loads for imr4350? 168bthp

Thanks

Check swissrifles forum, I think they have several posted loads for the 7.5 Swiss. Haven't tried 4350 but if it's a popular powder for .308 and 30-06 it should be good in the 7.5 Swiss.

I have tried AA4350 in the 7.5 Swiss. AA4350 grain for grain gives me identical velocities as IMR 4350, and Accurate Arms technical support said they mix it to have the same pressure curve. It shot well.

H4350 is a different powder, and the lots that I have are slower than IMR 4350/AA4350. I prefer the IMR/AA version.

I try to load my ammo close to service rifle velocities, and you can see my load is close to Swiss AP-11

7.5 x 55 Swiss Model K-31

168 gr Nosler Match 51.0 gr AA4350 INDEP brass and primer OAL 2.850

Ave Vel = 2536
Std Dev = 17
ES = 45
Low = 2510
High = 2555
N= 9
about 2"

AP11 Swiss Ball headstamp DA 78
24 Mar 04 T = 70 ° F
Ave Vel = 2565
Std Dev = 11
ES = 23
Low = 2551
High = 2574

I found at a reliable site that a MAX load of 51gr of IMR4350 using a Sierra 168gr gives approx. 2700fps out of a 31" barrel.
Common practice is to start 10% below and work up.
