Local gun shop told me saiga 12's are banned!!??

Stopped at the local shop today to ask if they were getting any saiga 12's in any time soon. Guy behind the counter told me nobody could get those in anymore because the ATF was in the process of banning them.

So am I S.O.L. in my search for a saiga 12?
