I knew a guy in the army who had worked with the local Sheriff in drug raids back in the 80s. He was always on point with his Beretta, because he's short. Once they rammed the door, and it swung open to reveal a BG with a sawed-off pointing straight at my buddy's nose. When the smoke cleared, the BG's head and chest were obliterated, because my buddy had done exactly what infantrymen are trained to do. The police supervisor yelled at him, asking;
"Why did you put 16 bullets in that man?!"
"Because I didn't have time to reload. Sir."
That agency decided that maybe it wasn't the best idea to have national guard soldiers deputized as cops.
